01 — ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Doomer Friday (doomerfriday.com) is a hobby project operated by an individual in Colorado, United States. The site includes a podcast hub, a live doom voting system, a mini-game (Operation: Signal Lost), a leaderboard, and community features including user callsigns.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of this service at any time without notice.

02 — ELIGIBILITY AND AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 18 years old to use this site. By using the site and creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are between 13 and 17, you may access public content but may not create an account, vote, or submit game scores. If you are under 13, you may not use this site at all.

We rely on Google's account creation policies as a baseline safeguard. Google does not knowingly permit account creation by users under 13 without parental supervision.

03 — ACCOUNTS AND AUTHENTICATION

Account creation requires a valid Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your credentials.

You may not create accounts for other people, use another person's account, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.

04 — CALLSIGNS AND USER CONTENT

Your callsign is your display name on this site. By choosing a callsign you agree that it will not:

• Contain profanity, slurs, or hate speech
• Impersonate our staff, moderators, or other users
• Contain personal information (yours or anyone else's)
• Violate any applicable law
• Be designed to harass, threaten, or abuse others

We use automated filtering to screen callsigns. Callsigns that our system cannot clearly approve or reject may be reviewed by an administrator. Administrators may rename callsigns that violate these terms. Callsigns that are renamed will be treated as banned and cannot be re-registered.

Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Other content you submit. Beyond your callsign, you may be able to post comments, submit a report through the feedback widget, or attach an image to one. Everything in the list above applies to all of it, and so does this: do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, sexually explicit, or that depicts or encourages violence or self-harm; do not submit anyone's personal information; and do not submit anything you do not have the right to submit.

Who can post. Posting a comment requires an account you signed into with Google or Apple. The anonymous account the apps create on first launch — so you can browse, play and keep your settings without handing over a name — cannot post, and it cannot report anyone either. Before your first comment you are shown the content rules above and asked to agree to them.

Reporting. Any comment can be reported from the comment itself by another signed-in agent. A comment reported by enough separate accounts is hidden automatically and held for review; repeat reports from the same account count once, and there is a daily limit on how many reports one account can file. Reports go to a queue only site staff can read — who reported whom is never public. You can also report content or a user by email at legal@doomerfriday.com; we aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.

Blocking. You can block another account from beside any of its comments. Their comments are then hidden from you wherever you sign in, and you can undo it at any time from the BLOCKED AGENTS card on your Settings page. Blocking hides them from you; it does not remove what they wrote, and it does not stop them reading or replying — reporting is what brings something to our attention.

Moderation. We may remove any submitted content, at any time, with or without notice, and we may suspend or terminate the account that submitted it. We are under no obligation to monitor, store, back up, or restore anything you submit, and you should keep your own copy of anything you care about.

05 — ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Attempt to cheat, exploit, or manipulate game scores or voting results
• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to interact with the site
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the site
• Submit false or misleading information
• Interfere with or disrupt the site's servers or infrastructure
• Use the site for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or our staff

06 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this site — including the Doomer Friday name, logo, game design, art, audio, and text — is owned by the site operator and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

Podcast content and host-specific content remain the property of the respective hosts and creators.

You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting a game score, a vote, a comment, a feedback report, or any image or other media you attach to one, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display, and distribute it on the site, in the apps, and in related materials — including on the podcast — for as long as we operate the site. You confirm that you have the right to grant that licence. This licence exists so we can show your content back to you and to other people; it does not let us sell it, and it ends for any piece of content once you or we delete it, except for copies already distributed and for backups that have not yet cycled out.

07 — DMCA — COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA notice to our designated agent with the following information: (1) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location on the site; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

THIS SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of this site shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for a free service, is zero dollars).

09 — INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Doomer Friday and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

10 — ACCOUNT TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any violation of these Terms, without notice and without liability. You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the site ceases immediately.

11 — GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of this site shall be resolved in the courts of Colorado, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in Colorado.

Before filing any legal action, you agree to contact us at legal@doomerfriday.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days.

12 — CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the site's version update notification system. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13 — ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding this site and supersede all prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
