• Go to console.cloud.google.com
• Sign in with your Google account (the same one linked to your YouTube channel)
• Click the project dropdown at the top → New Project
• Name it Doomer Friday → click Create
• Wait a few seconds for it to be created, then select it from the dropdown

• In the left menu click APIs & Services → Library
• Search for YouTube Data API v3
• Click on it → click Enable

• In the left menu click APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen
• Google may redirect you to the Google Auth Platform overview — click Get started
• App name: Doomer Friday
• Support email: your Gmail address
• Audience: select External
• Click through Save and Continue on remaining steps (you can leave optional fields blank)
• On the final summary page click Back to Dashboard

• In the left menu click APIs & Services → Credentials
• Click + Create Credentials → OAuth client ID
• Application type: Web application
• Name: Doomer Friday Web
• Under Authorized redirect URIs click Add URI and paste exactly:
https://doomerfriday.com/.netlify/functions/youtube-oauth?action=callback • Click Create
• ⚠️ A popup shows your Client ID and Client Secret — copy BOTH immediately. The secret is only shown once.

• Go back to APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen
• Scroll down to Test users → click + Add Users
• Add your Gmail address (clintweldon@gmail.com)
• Click Save

• Go to app.netlify.com → your site → Project Configuration → Environment Variables
• Add two variables:
GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID = (paste your Client ID) GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET = (paste your Client Secret) • Click Save on each
• Redeploy the site (Deploys → Trigger deploy → Deploy site)

• Come back to this page and click CONNECT YOUTUBE ACCOUNT above
• Sign in with your Google account and approve the permissions
• You'll be redirected back here — the status should show CONNECTED ✓
